West Leads ESWG

Lake Placid, N.Y. - Katie Stack, of Batavia, led Western New York to a win over New York City, 4-0, with two goals in women’s ice hockey in the Empire State Winter Games in Lake Placid. Western New York now has a perfect record of 3-0.

Elizabeth Gemmiti, of Rochester, opened the scoring with a goal for Western New York, 1:41 into the contest. Annmarie Cellino, of West Seneca, also provided another goal for Western New York in the first period.

Ashley Schneegold, of Tonawanda, continued an impressive streak in net, achieving a shutout and only allowing one goal in two games.

Adirondack has two wins and no losses.
