ESG Adds Sponsor

The Empire State Games announced Monday that Price Chopper supermarkets will become one of the sponsors of the 2012 games in Lake Placid.

Price Chopper is based in New York's Capital District and has supermarkets in New York, Vermont, Massachusetts, Connecticut, Pennsylvania and New Hampshire.

"Price Chopper is thrilled to support the high level of amateur athleticism here in New York that the Empire State Winter Games represent," said Mona Golub, vice president of public relations, consumer and marketing services.

Price Chopper's commitment to the Games extends beyond the financial with promotional signage appearing in each of the company's New York stores for two weeks prior to the start of the opening ceremonies on February 2. The Company will also prepare pre-recorded in-store announcements to inform shoppers of the events taking place in the Adirondack region. There will also be a Games presence on their webiste with a link to the ESG site.
