Neumann Over Buffalo State 2-1

Neumann’s Kayla Dubowski scored at the 3:07 mark of the overtime period to lift the Knights (1-1-2/1-1-2) to a 2-1 win over Buffalo State (2-3-1/1-2-1) in an ECAC West game this afternoon at the Ice Arena.

Neumann opened the scoring midway through the first period, but the Bengals responded less than 20 seconds later on the power play as Mel White (Snohomish, WA/Archbishop Murphy) recorded her first goal of the season, assisted by Courtney Carnes (Winslow, ME/Winslow).  Neither team would find the back of the net again until the extra session.

The Bengals held a 33-22 advantage in shots.  Jordan Lee (Colorado Springs, CO/Widefield) had 20 saves for Buffalo State.

Buffalo State will next host Chatham on Friday at 4 p.m.
