PUCCS First Tournament Sunday (Nov. 17)

The first PUCCS (Program for Understanding Childhood Concussion and Stroke) Charity Hockey Tournament will be held at Holiday Twin Rinks, Cheektowaga on Sunday, Nov. 27. All proceeds benefit childhood concussion and stroke research.

Six adult hockey teams will play in the all-day USA-sanctioned tournament beginning at 8 a.m. The team that raises the most funds will play the Buffalo Sabres Alumni in an exhibition game at 5 p.m.

Admission is free but spectators are asked to donate to the PUCCS organization. Food will be available on-site for sale, as well as  live and silent auctions. Auction items include NHL autographed jerseys, sticks and other memorabilia. The live auction will be held at 6:45 p.m. following the exhibition game.

In addition the Buffalo Sabres Alumni will hold an autograph session between periods of their exhibition game.
