Oswego's Seamont Named ECAC Player of Week

Oswego State sophomore women's ice hockey forward Melissa Seamont (North Bay, Ont.) has been selected as the Eastern Collegiate Athletic Conference (ECAC) West Women's Ice Hockey Player of the Week for the week ending November 7, 2011.

Seamont had a balanced weekend for the Lakers, who went 1-0-1 against ECAC West foe Cortland. Seamont scored the game-winning goal with her team on the power play and added an assist in a 2-1 victory to help Oswego State earn three out of four points against the Red Dragons. She also logged more ice time than any Laker skater, playing a large role on the penalty-kill unit that fended off 16 of 18 Cortland power-play opportunities.
